Ring Camera or Doorbell Keeps Going Offline?

Ring devices sit at the edge of your WiFi and are often the first thing to drop. We diagnose why remotely and get your cameras and doorbell staying online.

Remote sessions 7 days a week, 8:00 AM – 2:00 AM Eastern (5:00 AM – 11:00 PM Pacific). Anywhere in the US.

Why Ring Going Offline Happens

When a Ring device goes offline, the camera is rarely the real problem. The usual causes:

Quick Things to Try First

These are safe to try yourself before booking a session.

  1. Check the device health page in the Ring app for signal strength (RSSI).
  2. Confirm the battery is charged, or that a wired doorbell has power.
  3. If your WiFi name or password changed, reconnect the device in the Ring app.
  4. Restart your router and the Ring device.

Still happening? That usually means the cause is in the configuration, not a loose cable — which is exactly what we fix remotely.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to common questions.

Why does my Ring camera keep going offline?
Usually weak 2.4 GHz WiFi at the camera location, a router or password change, mesh settings that confuse the device, or power issues. We check each of these remotely.
Do you need to come to my house?
No. WeFixIt.tech is 100% remote. As long as at least one device in the home can get online, we connect securely and work on the problem with you on the phone.
Is it my camera or my WiFi?
Most of the time it’s the WiFi. Ring’s device health page shows signal strength, and we use that plus your router settings to pinpoint the cause.
Can you help with other camera brands?
Yes. The same WiFi issues affect most WiFi cameras and doorbells, including Google Nest, Arlo, Wyze, and others.
